A few rules of thumb

Choosing a vessel.

Simple guides we use when styling rooms.

  • HeightA vase should be about a third to half the height of what it holds.
  • NeckNarrow necks hold single stems upright; wide mouths let bouquets open.
  • GlassClear glass shows off stems and water. Tinted glass hides them.
  • StonewareOpaque vessels suit dried stems, or standing empty on their own.
